▏▎▍ • RESOLVE  -  WHERE TO BUY?

If you've been to other Devil May Cry websites, in particular character fansites, they feature alot of media such as artbooks, the manga, comic, and whatnot. Here, I have compiled a short list of where one can buy official products online.

A few things to note before I go on to the list of websites : Japan release CDs are expensive in general, so if you want it badly suck it up. If you're at a Japanese site searching for Devil May Cry things, instead of simply typing in "Devil May Cry" in English also try Japanese : デビルメイクライ.

Amazon.co.jp - Actually, this is my favorite online store. I usually get my books and music from here. Im my room I have a growing pile of "Amazon.co.jp" shipping boxes from my prevous orders. I simply buy too much from this site. Shipping is expensive though, but most things are less expensive than other online places I've been to. So, in the end there isn't that much of a difference between online stores. If you can't read Japanese, there's a English option when you make your payment. It essentially works like an American Amazon but when you browse through the items. The great place about Amazon is that you can get books the first day of release right away. As for Devil May Cry related things, here you can find the manga, novels, Japanese guides, certain artbooks, and the games.

Play-Asia.com - I recently discovered the greatness of Play-Asia.com. They actually have 'sales' which actually suckers me into buying more stuff than I actually need. This is probably the place to go if you're not comfortable ordering from Japanese sites. They have alot of stuff Japanese sites carry, and the shipping isn't bad either. The only problem is when they're out of stock, and the possibility of them only carrying a certain product for a short amount of time. Pay attention to release dates is the only suggestion I have.

Yesasia.com - Another reliable store. The only thing I really don't like about Yesasia is due to the waiting time. When you place an order you have to wait for them to 'find' your things. That usually ranges from a few days to a week. Then you have to wait another week for the things to arrive. There is also free shipping if you buy past a certain amount. However, you may notice that some things at this store is more expensive than others. As for Devil May Cry things, Yesasia doesn't have that great of a book selection. However, it has been growing for the past year. Unlike Amazon, at Yesasia they offer game collectibles such as the Devil May Cry 3 cellphone straps when the game was first released. They're basically promotional items.

Ebay.com - An obvious one, but the main problem is the legitimacy of the item. Even if the seller claims it to be, is it official or not? The thing about Ebay is that you have to research what you want. There has to be a reason why people complain about how expensive a random soundtrack is and why ebay has a billion copies of it. In short, you have to somewhat "experience" buying from ebay. You have to learn yourself to determine what is fake and what isn't. For Devil May Cry releated things, few things to be aware of for those who aren't familiar with ebay is to make sure you check the location of the seller. Personally, I only buy things if the seller is from Japan. However, you have to consider that if it says on the site the seller is from Japan he or she might not be. If the seller is from China or any part of Asia other than Japan, I would stay away from them. China is the Land of Bootlegs. Some economies of certains towns in China actually survive on bootlegging. If the seller is from the States of Europe it all depends on the seller's feedback. However, you also have to keep in mind that not everyone can tell what is and what isn't a bootleg item when they give feedback.
