▏▎▍ • INFORMATION - RELATIONS
Vergil doesn't necessarily lack social skills, he just likes to be alone because it is then that he is at most comfort. The only other condition is when he is with those he is close to, in particular his brother. Something interesting which was mentioned in the Note of Naught is that Vergil would never forgive anyone who doesn't follow his path, even if they belonged to the side of the allies.
± Dante
It's here
± Father
It seems as if Vergil was "daddy's boy"until his father's untimely death. He greatly admires his father for the things he had done, and views him to be a role model. Through time, it seems as if Vergil begins to misinterpret and misunderstands his father's sacrifice as he becomes more obsessed with acquiring power. In Devil May Cry 3, whenever Arkham mentions Sparda, Vergil usually closes his eyes and looks away. As if he's reflecting on something.
± Mother
Vergil's relationship with his mother is mostly unknown because he is mainly associated with his father. Coincidentally, it is Dante who has an intricate relationship with their mother. She is one of the things which motivate Dante to do what he does on a day to day basis. As for Vergil's thoughts on his mothers, inregards to the storyboard for Mission 20 in Devil May Cry 3, in the scene when Vergil drops his amulet and the Force Edge, he is seen glaring at the amulet as he is holding it. Although that wasn't put in the final cut of the scene, what was Vergil angry at in particular? Was he angry at the fact that he was half human? Or was he angry at his mother since the amulet is a memento given to him from his mother.
± Mundus
Mundus is the "Prince of Darkness", the ruler of the Demon World. Although Vergil did want to stay in the Demon Worl, it seems that his challenge against Mundus was all due to the spur of the moment. Assuming that Vergil was badly beaten by Mundus, their relationship thereafter became that of master and servant. It iwasn't as if Nelo Angel has much to say in this, for his mind was basically brainwashed at this point.
± Arkham
Arkham was a man who was obsessed with the devils. He was captivated by them that he was willing to kill his own wife in order to have his body play host to a devil, Jester. Vergil does not like Arkham. Chances are, Vergil would probably love to give Arkham a good beating if he read another line from his book out loud, or mentions something about Sparda. Unfortunately, Arkham was an intricate key to reviving the Temen-ni-Gru and opening the gates to the demon world, for he was the only one who knew the technical aspects of it. From the start, Vergil's plan was to get rid of Arkham upon reaching the final door. After doing so, Vergil realized that he was outwitted by Arkham for under estimating him due to the fact that he was human. Arkham's plan was to retrieve Sparda's power for himself. However, shortly after doing so, he realizes and ignores the fact that his body could not withstand the power. Thus, he became a big glob of angry goo. Eventually, Dante and Vergil knocks some sense into him, but the final blow was dealt by his own daughter, Lady, as he pleads for her help.
± Lady
Vergil and Lady do not share many dialogues together, but it is through actions which they communicate. The first time Vergil meets Lady face to face was when Arkham successfully tricked the group into meeting up in the room where the blood sacrifices were made. When Lady intruded Vergil and Dante's fight, Vergil did attack her, but it didn't seem like there was intention to kill. Vergil sees humans as being weak in general. However, if Vergil had a hatred towards them, he would have killed Lady when he had the chance to when they met for the second time. What makes their second encounter special is the fact that they spoke through their actions. After having Arkham betray both of them, as Lady rested in the library of the Temen-ni-Gru after fighting Dante, she sees Vergil walking through in trek to climb up the tower again after being knocked down into an abyss by Arkham. Although in that sene, the viewers are only able to see the end of Vergil's coat and hear his footsteps, just the sight and sense of it was enough to make Lady regain lost confidence. Thus, she slowly tails Vergil as he is climbing up the tower again.
